He was living with stomach cancer for a while, and after the abdominal pain became too much he sought medical help, which led to the worst being confirmed....

The Big Build Up
Thursday 25th Jul, 2013Pre-season is already upon us and in many ways it could be considered the most important part of a team's campaign the season. A lot of clubs are starting their pre-season training in the UAE due to Ramadan, the reverse of what normally happens. The heat and Iftar mean some clubs don't start training until 10:30pm....

Sunday 21st Jul, 2013It's 9:30pm at Al Ahli's Rashid Stadium and a rather warm 38 Celsius. I am waiting outside to meet Luis Jimenez, the Red Knights' Chilean playmaker.
