Al Shabab Al Arabi Club was established as a sports, cultural, and social establishment.  The first attempt to establish the club was in 1958 under the name of Al Shabab Club. Al Shabab and Al Wahda Clubs were merged in 1970 under the name Al Ahli Club.  Some of the old members formed a new club in 1971 under the name the Gulf Club, then the club name was changed in the same year from the Gulf Club to Dubai Club.

Dubai Club and Al Arabi Club were re-merged in 1974 and, as a result, Al Shabab Al Arabi Club was created. In the same year, the club was publicized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports on 13/3/1974 by a Ministerial Decree No. (3) for the year 1974, and its headquarter was in Dubai.
