Al Nasr Club passed through several main stages which were prominent enlightening landmarks that illuminated the long road through its historical development. The first main stage was the establishment phase in 1945, and it was the step taken by some young people from Dubai. The second main stage was in 1948 when a decision was issued to establish a club under the name of “Al Ahli” with rules and membership conditions. In the late fifties, there was an important main station which was one of the most significant stages of development experienced by the march of Al Nasr Cultural and Sports Club as Sheikh Manea and a group of young people joined the club and started to think about changing the name of the club.

The club’s team played under the new name (Al Nasr Cultural and Sports Club) in 1960, and at this stage Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (May Allah Rest His Soul in peace) was invited to the new headquarter of the club. At this stage also, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashed became president of Al Nasr Cultural and Sports Club. In 1978, it was the new station and paradigm shift for the club when His Highness Sheikh Rashed bin Saeed Al Maktoum inaugurated the new headquarter of the club and Al Maktoum Stadium in Oud Metha area in Dubai.

The football game is the front side of Al Nasr Club since it has a well entrench team which is the oldest among the country’s teams. Since the formation of the first football federation in Dubai in the early sixties, Al Nasr Club had participated in the trophies which it held, and the team won the league title in addition to winning in that period of several cups, the most important of which were the Municipality Cup, Sheikh Maktoum Cup, Mohammad Al Moosa Cup, Qassem Balloush Cup, and Khadem Bo Amim Cup. After the establishment of the UAE Football Association in 1971, Al Nasr Club won thirteen titles between the league, President’s Cup, and Al Ittihad Cup. Also, Al Nasr Club scored the Super Cup title season 1989-1990 and the Shared League title season 1984-19885.  The club also won the title of ADNOC tournament in season 1992-1993 and the Premier League title in 1995-1996 and Al Ittihad Cup title for three times in 1987-1988, 1999-2000, and 2001-2002.
