Waleed and Adil assure their readiness for Etisalat Cup

Walid Salim goalkeeper and captain of Al Ain Senior football team assured during the press conference held by the UFL today morning at the conference hall located at  Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium  regarding  the preparations of Al Ain and Al Shabab teams for the Etisalat Cup final match, which will  take place on Friday evening, April 29 at 7:35pm, that his team has completed its readiness of all aspects technically, physically and morally after a series of training sessions the players have conducted during the past few days. He said "The players are seeking to win the title and they know that the outcome of this match will be recorded in the history of the club, especially it is the last chance for the team to compensate for the failures of the season".

He added "We play with our reputation and we will fight to win for our fans, and all the players are well focusing on this big game and we hope to get out of it with the best results".

Walid pointed out that Al Ain had played before similar games in the capital Abu Dhabi, whether at Zayed Sports City, or Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium and both are considered neutral grounds. We feel optimistic when we play at Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium. We beat Al Shabab at the same venue by a lone goal before two seasons and we captured the President's Cup.

Walid said that playing on Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium gives a wonderful opportunity for the spectators to attend this encounter which seems difficult for both squads. "We will work hard to win it so as to make our loyal happy. Our team includes a group of young players, but some of them have the experience of playing big games". Waleed pointed out.

On the other hand, Adil Abdullah captain of Al Shabab team said in the press conference that they are ready to face their rivals Al Ain, stressing that they will play strongly and try to win the Etisalat Cup. "We won the league trophy at the same venue before professionalism being introduced when we drew to hosts Al Jazira with a goalless result and also lost at the same pitch the President's Cup to Al Ain before two seasons".

He explained that they did not show their normal level in the Etisalat Pro-League Competition, but Etisalat Cup is a different challenge and it requires hard work especially there is no room for compensation in case of loss i.e. it is an only-one- chance match.
