UAE National Football Team Mission leaves for Lebanon

The UAE Football Team mission left this evening to Beirut via Dubai International Airport to face their Lebanese counterparts in the second round match of the third stage of the Asian qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil scheduled next Tuesday evening September 6th.

The mission is headed by Mohammad Khalfan Al Rumaithi chairman of the UAE Football Association and includes Obaid Salem Al Shamsi, member of the Board of Directors of the UAE Football Association supervisor of the team, Ismail Rashid team's manager, Fahad Ali team's administrator, Slovenian coach Katanec, assisting technical and medical staff along with 24 players : Majid Nasser, Adel Al Hosni, Essa Ahmad, Mohammad Al Shehhy, Mahmoud Khamis, Salem Saleh, Saeed Al Katheri, Yousuf Al  Zeaabi, Amer Mubarak, Ismail Al Hammadi, Ahmad Khalil, Mahmoud Khamis, Subait Khatir, Ahmad Juma'a, Walid Abbas, Mohammad Ahmad, Muslim Faiz, Ali Al Wihaibi ,Mohammed Abdul Rahman, Yousuf Jaber, Mohammad Fawzi, Amer Abdel Rahman, Hassan Amin in addition to Al Ain's defender Faris Juma'a who was called by the coach after the match against the Kuwaiti team to replace Hamdan Al Kamali who is missing due to injury.

The players conducted a training session this morning on Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain Club under the supervision of their coach Katanec and his assistants before leaving to Lebanon. The players will start their training program tomorrow at the Sports City and will conclude their preparations for the match on Monday at the same venue that will host the game.
