Pro League Committee launches new Television Graphics

The Pro League Committee has launched new television graphics across all its four competitions, debuting the new look and feel on the coverage of Round 17 of the Etisalat Pro League, which took place on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd February. The new graphics combine an updated design with a more informative and interactive interface, offering viewers a greater insight into all televised games.

The new television graphics have been unveiled following several meetings between the Pro League Committee and its broadcasters – Abu Dhabi Sports and Dubai Sports – with the aim to continually improve the coverage of the Etisalat Pro League, Etisalat Cup, Etisalat Super Cup and Etisalat Reserve League. The newly-designed graphics have been implemented to satisfy the ever-increasing interest in UAE football, giving fans and viewers more detailed analysis of the games, teams and players involved in all PLC competitions. The graphics also invite and encourage the audience to follow and engage with the Pro League Committee’s social networks - Facebook, Twitter and YouTube - and highlight the designated Twitter hashtag for each fixture to promote greater fan participation in the online sphere. All graphics are provided in both Arabic and English to cater to the international nature of the viewing audience.

Colin Smith, PLC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) noted that the implementation of the new television graphics is a positive step forward for the PLC. “Our League and competitions hold great value and thus it is imperative that we always keep improving the coverage we offer. We are continually supporting the development of UAE football, and we seek to learn from the examples of the top football leagues in the world to ensure that we meet the expectations of football spectators both in the UAE and further afield, and that we deliver the best possible coverage befitting of our competitions.” Smith thanked both Abu Dhabi Sports and Dubai Sports Channels for their input and cooperation in coming to a positive agreement on the new designs and format, and for implementing the updated television graphics for the coverage of the most recent round of the Etisalat Pro League.
