The Professional League Committee announces officially the launch of the Etisalat Pro League
The Professional League Committee has announced the launch of the 4th version of the Etisalat Professional League for the season 2011/12, in a ceremony held In Armani Hotel at Burj Khalifa in Dubai and attended by coaches of the professional teams and prominent players where HE Saeed Abdul Ghaffar, President of the Professional League Committee delivered a speech at the outset of the ceremony. He welcomed the attendees and thanked His Highness Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Honorary President of the UAE Football Association. He also welcomed the local and international media and all the new players who joined the UAE League this season, in addition to the coaches who have good reputation.
He stressed saying that, thanks to the ongoing work of the Committee, and through the participation of all in achieving the future vision of the UAE football, as well as through the provision of many talents in football and fair play, this will no doubt lead to a gradual increase of fans masses in the stadiums.
He praised the continuing support provided by Etisalat Corporation to the UAE Professional League, saying: "We will work to increase the number of fans on the stands, through implementation of plans, and we will also provide a full day for families’ entertainment to encourage them to attend the games.
His Excellency Saeed Abdul Ghaffar announced officially afterwards the launch of the Etisalat Pro League for the season 2011 / 12.
This was followed by a speech delivered by Ali al-Ahmed, CEO of Emirates Telecommunications Corporation "Etisalat", who said: "When we have sponsored the league since 4 years, our goal was social and our sponsorship for the league is a sponsorship to support the next generations, and for the land of UAE be fertile with talent and creativity."
He added: "We have spent AED 1.3 billion in various sponsorships of sporting events in the UAE, and we will continue our support for these events, because we are part of the community in which we are living".
A number of coaches and players spoke during the conference including Fabio Cannavaro adviser of Al-Ahli Club for Marketing, Austrian Hecksberger, coach of Al Wahda, French player Trezeguet of Bani Yas team, Abdul Wahab Abdul Qadir coach of Ajman, Abdel Salam Juma’a, player Al Jazira, Italian Zenga coach of Al Nasr ,graffiti of Al Ahli, Donda of Al Wasl and Hassan Keita player of Emirates team.They all admitted the difficulty of the league championship for this season because of the participation of many skilled and experienced players and coaches who have long experience and good reputation.. They assured the necessity of working together to serve the national team, improve the level of the UAE League and provide the national team with strong players who can achieve various competitions. The coaches and players also demanded the application of professionalism in its true sense.
