The Etisalat Cup 3rd round kicks off on Friday

The 12 professional teams have successfully completed their preparations before they go into the 3rd round of the Etisalat Cup championship which is due to kick off on Friday November 12th and concluded on the following day. Three games will be played in each day with all the squads hoping to come out with positive results that can help them to go one step or more steps further.

Al Jazira and Al Ahli are going to play the 1st game when they meet on Friday at 4:55pm at Al Shahama in Bani Yas club because the home team's ground, Al Jazira, is currently under complete maintenance as it will host the FIFA Clubs World Cup next month.

 Al Jazira, Al Nasr and Sharjah have collected one point each so far as they have lost one game and drawn another, whereas Al Dhafra, Dubai, Al Wasl and Kalba have two points each after drawing twice. Bani Yas is the only team who have collected 6 points in both groups followed by Al Ain, Al Ahli and Al Shabab who have collected 4 points each. Al Wahda remain the only squad who have yet to open their tally after losing both previous games.

Dubai will host Al Nasr in the 2nd match of the day, kick off 4:55pm, and Al Shabab will tackle it out against their city team Al Wasl when the meet at the former's pith at 8pm.

Al Wahda who are also preparing for the forthcoming the FIFA Clubs World Cup event, will host Al Dhafra on Friday November 12th with all the hope to maintain their 1st win in this competition, but Al Dhafra are planning to make a surprise and benefit from the absence of their opponents' key players who are currently in National duties, the match starts at 4:55pm. Sharjah will travel to the Eastern region to play against hosts Kalba in the same day at 4:45. Both teams need to add 3 more points to strengthen their hopes in the title struggle. 

Bani Yas and their hosts Al Ain will play the concluding game of this round at Tahnoon Bin Mohammad stadium in Qattara, kick off at 8pm. The visitors have 6 points on top of the first group followed by Al Ain in the 2nd position with 4 points. Both teams will play without a number of their key players due to National duties and injuries.
