Al Wahda are to host Dubai in the first match at their pitch in Abu Dhabi, kick off at 4:50pm. The home team have not yet demonstrated their usual technical standard as they played all their games in group "A" below the par to collect a single point that put them at the bottom of the table. They missed all their key players due to their preparations for the FIFA Club World Cup which will start on December 8th in Abu Dhabi. Al Wahda lost in the previous round to Al Nasr with a solitary goal netted by Ismail Bangoura from Ghenia and they are looking for their first win to better their situation. The visitors have five points that put them in the 4th place in group "A" after emerging winners with a 2-0 victory against Bani Yas in round 4, a defeat which forced the losers to slip to the 3rd position. Dubai hope to collect more three points to step forward and raise their tally to eight points while Bani Yas are planning to collect the 10th point.

Kalba will travel to Bani Yas to tackle it out against Al Jazira in the 2nd game of the day. The match was shifted to Al Shamkha pitch due to the maintenance work currently being carried out in Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan's ground in  Al Jazira club as it will host the FIFA Clubs World Cup championship due to kick off on December 8th . Al Jazira have raised their tally to seven points after beating Sharjah 3-1 in round 4 to take the leadership of "B" group. The visitors are staying in the 5th place with only three points and they need to work hard to come out with a valuable win. Al Jazira will miss some of their key players who are currently in national duties, but their reserve team demonstrated high standard in their match against Sharjah.

The first day of this round will be concluded with a tough derby that put the two city teams Al Wasl and Al Ahli in face of each other at the former's pitch at 8pm.
