Sultan Al Ghaferi signs for Al Ain
UAE midfielder Sultan Al Ghaferi has signed for Al Ain on a 3-year deal from Bani Yas, following the expiration of his contract at the end of the season. In a statement issued by the player following the announcement, Al Ghaferi thanked everyone at Bani Yas for all their support and contribution in his career, pointing out that he had been with the Club for a long time and Bani Yas has contributed significantly to making his name in football. The 26-year-old wished his former Club all the very best for the coming seasons, and looked ahead to a fresh challenge with Al Ain, where he vowed to prove his worth to the League Champions.
In other transfer news, Obaid Khalifa has signed for Ajman from Al Ahli on a one-year contract, bolstering the Orange defense following the departure of Saleh Bashir and the end of Adel Al Hammadi’s loan. Ajman also confirmed that Al Nasr have approved their request to extend Ismail Al Jasmi’s loan. Meanwhile, Al Shabab are yet to sign any new players but striker Sanad Ali put pen to paper on a new two-year contract at the Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium yesterday.
