Al Dhafra and Al Shaab complete the 14 - team Pro League

Both Al Shaab and Al Dhafra have made their way through to qualify to the Etisalat Pro League after collecting six points each in the quartet tournament. The two squads played their third round match this evening at Khalifa Stadium in Al Ain Club which ended with a 3/2 win in favour of Al Shaab. Sharjah found themselves out of contention on goal difference which resulted from the three teams head – to –head games despite of collecting six points following a 2/1 victory over Emirates in the game played in the same night at Maktoum Bin Rashid in Al Shabab Club. Emirates team also relegated to first division without scoring even a single point after losing in three successive matches..

Al Shaab were the first to score in the match through Brazilian player Rodrego Sosa only four minutes into play and his country man Careca made it 2-0 in the 17th minute. But Al Shaab missed the efforts of their player Rodrego Sosa after collecting two yellow cards in the 20tth  minute for the team to play 70 minutes with 10 players and despite of this sent off they ended the first session with a 2-0 win.

Al Dhafra came to dominate the match after the break but things remained the same without change till the 70th minute when substitute Bander Mohammed reduced the deficit and made it 2/1. They put more pressure on their rivals afterwards for  Makati Diyoub to bring the game to parity seven minutes later. But Rodrego Careca netted the winner three minutes before the final whistle securing a berth for his side in the Pro League Championship.
