Bani Yas topple Ajman on the standings

Bani Yas leave Sharjah and go home to celebrate a smashing 2-1 victory after the first-half season final encounter that took place this evening at Sharjah Club Stadium within the Etisalat Pro League competition.


Playing home, Sharjah lacked the required fighting spirit on the pitch in a team looking forward to escape the bottom of the table, Bani Yas suffering from their list of absentee were clearly unbalanced throughout the first half of the game, both teams seemed unorganized in the beginning, random shots led to no real scoring opportunities ended the first half with a zero draw.

Only then the pitch were on fire, Bani Yas seemed more consistent to end the first-half season at a different position, a draw was out of the question, surprisingly in less than two minutes Tony netted from inside the 6 yards Bani Yas’ second goal in the 57th minute. Afterwards the match was still on fire and was far much better than it was in the beginning; however both failed to add more scores to end the game with the rewarding 2-1 victory to the visitors.


With 13 points Bani Yas topple Ajman on the standings and settle in the 8th place by the end of the first-half season, while the unfortunate Sharjah remain 10th with 9 points.
