Ajman tie with Sharjah and become 3rd on the standings
Ajman tied with Sharjah 0-0 leaving the second place to their Dubai rivals Al Ahli in the Group B encounter that took place this evening at Sharjah Club stadium within Round 8 of the Etisalat Cup competition
The Round 8 match saw the return of Sharjah’s former Romanian head coach Tita who was keen to support and guide his team on the pitch throughout the match, also the debut of the new transfers the Uzbek national team player Timur Kapadze and the Korean Lee Song Ho. Ajman seemed more consistent than their hosts to control the game from the beginning and had more chances to score, for them it was a game of survival to guarantee a place in the semi-finals unlike Sharjah whose hope turned into smoke. Yet the first half saw no scores and the first 45 minutes ended with a zero tie.
The second half could not be said to be much better than the first, Sharjah better in the defense particularly their goalkeeper Hassan Al Sharif who saved his net more than once from the attacks of his ferocious hungry to score opponents, keeping the performance of both sides at a mediocre level and to end the match with the 0-0 draw.
2 points added to both put Ajman with 13 points in the Third place after Al Ahli’s 2-1 victory over the top table Al Shabab which put them second with 14 points, while Sharjah keep the bottom table with 3 points
