Al Shabab outclass Al Wasl 2-0 to move to second position

Both Al Wasl and Al Shabab came up with a brilliant display in their Etisalat Pro League 17th round game held tonight at Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum stadium which ended with a two straight goals win for Al Shabab over their counterparts Al Wasl.

The winners jumped two steps forward to capture the second position after raising their balance to 33 points, one point ahead of third and fourth-placed Al Nasr and Al Jazira respectively while the losers have preserved their fifth position with 24 points.

The match was full of hard work and dynamic movements and was marred by a few numbers of attempts and scoring chances from the two teams through the entire time as most of the work was concentrated on the midfield zone.  The hosts ended the first session with a 1-0 win which was scored by Al Wasl's player Yasser Salim into his own net one minute into the injury time when he tried to clear the ball which was crossed by Ciel.

The losers pressed hard in the second session looking for the equalizer but they failed to score in spite of the handful of chances they created in front of the goal mouth.

The Brazilian dangerous striker Ciel added the second goal three minutes before the end of the official time off a penalty kick.
