Al Shabab beat Al Wahda 3-2
Dubai-based Al Shabab came out with a big win beating the visiting team Al Wahda 3-2 in Etisalat Pro League round 15 game played this evening at Maktoum bin Rashid Stadium in Dubai to raise their balance to 23 points that put them in the fifth position while Al Wahda tally was frozen at 18 points that classify them in 7th place provisionally.
Al Shabab Brazilian front liner Edgar gave the winners the lead with a powerful header only 13 minutes from the starting whistle off a flag kick switched by his countryman Ciel. But Abdullah Al Noubi brought the game into parity when he scored the equalizer 8 minutes later to end the first session with a 1-1 draw.
Only one minute has passed after the breather before Al Shabab succeeded in doubling their advantage through their Uzbek player Azizbek Haydarov. Al Wahda made it 2-2 off a dead ball launched by defender Hamdan Al Kamali in the 69th minute. But Al Wahda finished the game with ten players when their midfielder Khalid Jalal was given marching orders in the 72nd minute. Al Shabab Brazilian striker Louis Da Silva netted the winner only 12 minutes before the final whistle.
