Saeed Abdul Ghaffar assures the continuity of the League matches during the Olympic Competition

 

Saeed Abdul Ghaffar, Vice-President of the Football Association, Chairman of the Professional League Committee congratulated the entire sport arena and the football family in the occasion of the launch of the fourth season of the Professional League, which will commence on Saturday September 10th with the Etisalat Super Cup match between Al Jazira and Al Wahda at Bani Yas Stadium in Al Shamkha.

He thanked His Highness Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, The Honorary President of the UAE Football Association, for his continued support to the UAE Football and his great confidence in the Association Board of Directors as well as the Professional League Committee. He also praised the significant role played by the UAE Football League in the previous years and the good efforts they have made under the chairmanship of Hamad Bin Brook and Dr. Tariq Al Tayer. Abdul Ghaffar also extended gratitude to the Football Association headed by Mohammad Khalfan Al Rumaithi for their efforts to develop the UAE's football and for their support to the Professional League Committee. He also thanked the sponsors: Etisalat, Abu Dhabi Sports Channel, Dubai Sports Channel, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and Audi Company.

He noted that the UAE Football is currently approaching  its fourth year since started applying professionalism, which is still in the beginning of a long way, hoping that all clubs would learn from the previous lessons; promote the advantages of their professionalism experience; work to develop their administrative and technical performance and everything related to the professional system.

Saeed Abdul Ghaffar called on the Sport channels programs to introduce new ideas and make people aware of the positive advantages of professionalism and spread awareness and professionalism culture among our players and clubs.

The Chairman of the Professional League Committee acknowledged the errors committed by some referees in the league matches, stressing that these errors are just part of the game of football. He hopes the referee would    enjoy officiating the game; the players would help him and not object to his decisions and the fans would not be tough if he commits a mistake. 

He stressed that there will not be long breaks in the Etisalat Pro-League Championship, as the league will continue normally during the National Olympic Team matches

Abdul Ghaffar Predicted the fans' attendance will be significant after the clubs' strong preparations and successful signings with International reputed professional players. He said: "We must join together all the efforts of the Football Association, League professional committee, clubs, players, referees, coaches, administrators, Media and the public for the success of this task".
