Top teams fight for Asia Champions League spot and bottom teams fight to avoid relegation

All 12 teams are in action tomorrow night (Wednesday June 1st) in Round 21 of the Etisalat Pro-League, with five of the top teams fighting for Asian Champions League qualification, whilst Al Ain, Sharjah, Dubai and Kalba fight to avoid relegation.

The matches kick off at 7:50pm, and with Sharjah on 24, Dubai on 23, Al Ain on 22 and Kalba on 20 points their matches are crucial in determining who will be the team to join Al Dhafra in being relegated to the First Division next season.

Dubai will host Kalba at Dubai Stadium in a do-or-die for both teams. The hosts are three points ahead of the visitors Kalba and a win in tomorrow's game will raise their tally to 26 points and keep them away from the relegation zone. But a victory for Kalba will equalize the balance of and put more pressure on Al Ain and Sharjah.

Al Ain will battle it out against League Champions Al Jazira in Tahnoun Bin Mohammed Stadium. A win for Al Ain in tomorrow's match and a loss for Kalba will result in Kalba's relegation to First Division so Al Ain are set to come out fighting..

Al Jazira are fighting to finish the season undefeated and will play with their full team, while Al Ain will miss the efforts of some of their key players including midfielder Ibrahima Kieta and defender Ismail Ahmad due to suspension.

Sharjah are also fighting to avoid relegation and face Al Dhafra at Sharjah Stadium. The hosts are in 8th position with 24 points and need a win against Al Dhafra to ensure they are secure. Their striker Mohammad Suroor will not play this match after given marching orders in the last match against Bani Yas.

Etisalat Cup winners Al Shabab slipped from third to fifth place after being held to a 3-3 draw by Al Jazira in Round 20. Tomorrow night they will host their city rivals Al Ahli at Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium who are in 7th place with 26 points.

In the other matches of the day, Al Wahda who are in 4th spot with 30 points, will take on Bani Yas at Al Nahyan Stadium. Al Nasr and Al Wasl will meet at Al Maktoum Stadium with hosts Al Nasr currently in 6th place and Al Wasl in third place with 31 points.

Bani Yas, Al Wasl, Al Wahda, Al Shabab and Al Nasr are fighting for a top spot and a berth in the 2012 AFC Champions League. The team who takes fourth position  will battle it out through qualifications to join the elite 32 teams in the Champions League.
