Al Jazira beat Al Shabab 5/1 to stay on top of Reserve League
Al Jazira continued their leadership of Etisalat Reserve League after beating Al shabab 5/1 in the match held at Al Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi to raise their tally to 18 points while Al Shabab have 5 points that put them in 9th position. Mohammad Bargash scored two goals for Al Jazira in the third and 35th minutes and Ali Mabkhoot, Sultan Bargash and Abdul Rahim Juma'a netted one each in the 19th, 32nd and 91st minutes consecutively while Naser Masaud scored Al Shabab lone goal in the 61st minute.
In the second game of the day Al Ain also defeated Al Wasl by the same margin in their match played at the losers' pitch in Zabeel. Bander Mohammad opened the score for the visitors only five minutes into play, Mohammad Malalla made it 2-0 in the 22nd minute; Mohammad Naser netted the third goal in the 62nd minute before Hadaf Abdullah added the 4th in the 67th minute and the substitute Shihab Ahmed completed the rout in the 85th minute while Hamad Abdul Rahman netted the only goal for his side Al Shabab in the 83rd minute. Al Ain have 16 points taking second spot while Al Wasl balance was frozen at 9 points.
Al Ahli played at Rashid Stadium beating their counterpart Dubai 2-0 to raise their balance to 7 points and the losers remain at the bottom of the table with one point. The hosts scored their two goals in the 50th and 86th minutes via Ahmad Khalil and Mohammad Jamal. Sharjah added three points following their 3-0 win over Al Wahda to reach the 6th point. Nawaf Yazeed scored a brace for the winners in the 5th and 52nd minutes and Abdullah Ali made it 3-0 five minutes to time.
