Al Wahda beat Kalba 5 -3 to top Reserve League provisionally
Al Wahda reserve team are currently sitting on top of the table provisionally with 7 points following their 5-3 victory over Ittihad Kalba in the Etisalat Reserve League third round game played at Al Nahyan Stadium whereas Kalba are still to open their account. Kalba’s player Idris committed an error scoring an own goal giving the rivals the lead only 7 minutes into play and Mohammed Al Shihhy made it 2-0 in the 33rd minute. Abdulaziz Abdullah netted two successive goals for Kalba in the 37th and 41st minutes to bring the game into parity to end the first half with a 2-2 draw.
Salem Saleh regained the lead for Al Wahda in the 61st minute and Ibrahim Al Mansouri levelled the score 10 minutes later. But Al Wahda added two goals afterwards through Ibrahim Al Alawi in the 83rd minute and Abdullah Al Shehhy one minute into injury time giving their team a 5-3 win.
In the second match of the day Bani Yas and Dubai were tied to a 1-1 draw at Al Shamkha Stadium. Ahmed Shah gave Dubai the lead 34th minute and Bani Yas levelled the score five minutes into stoppage time through Sultan Dabash. Bani have collected five points so far against 4 for Dubai.
On the other hand Al Ahli collected their first three points after beating Al Wasl who have only one point with a solitary goal at Rashid Stadium in Dubai. Ahmed Khawi scored the all- important goal of the match in the 56th minute
