Al Wahda share points with Al Jazira to go on top of Reserve League

Al Wahda moved on top of the table of the Etisalat Reserve League 2012-2013 provisionally after a 1-1 draw against Al Jazira in the last match of the first round played yesterday, Sunday, December 16 at Khalifa bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain Club instead of Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi which is currently under construction work. Al Wahda raised their tally to 27 points prior to Al Ain- Al Nasr today’s game at Tahnoun bin Mohammad Stadium to locate their position in the table. Third-placed Al Ain have 26 points and a win over Al Nasr will help them to recapture top place. Al Jazira are fifth with 21 points and still have a game in hand against Dubai which was postponed from round 10 and rescheduled for Friday, December 21 at Al Aweer Stadium.

In the second match of the day, Al Ahli outclassed Al Dhafra with a solitary goal at Hamdan bin Zayed Stadium in the Western Region to take their balance to 18 points that classify them in 7th spot while Al Dhafra are 4th with 25 points. Al Shabab beat Al Shaab by the same margin at Maktoum bin Rashid Stadium in Dubai to move from 4th to 2nd position temporarily with 27 points while Al Shaab are in 12th place with 9 points.
