Al Ain appoint Quique Flores as new Head Coach

Quique Flores was officially unveiled as Head Coach of Al Ain in a press conference held at the Club on Saturday evening. The Spaniard has signed a 2-year deal, and joins Al Ain having left Al Ahli during the summer after two successful seasons. 48-year-old Flores’ previously managed clubs include Getafe, Valencia, Benfica and Atletico Madrid, whom he guided to the UEFA Europa League championship title in 2010. During his two seasons at the Rashid Stadium with Al Ahli, Flores led the team to the 2011/12 Etisalat Cup and 2012/13 President’s Cup, and brings a wealth of experience with him to the defending League champions. Flores will take charge of his first training session at Al Ain on Monday 30th September, though he will begin working with a depleted squad as six players are away on duty with the UAE National Team.
