Pro League Committee organizes workshops for 16 clubs
Within its preparations plan for the new season 2012/2013, the Pro League Committee (PLC) organized a three - day workshop starting from last Sunday, July, 29 which included a workshop for technical and executive secretariat for the clubs and teams’ managers, where a presentation to the agenda of the season and regulations regarding the committee competitions, as well as the amendments made to some of the articles in the regulations and organizing procedures of the games were declared. Michelle Chai Technical and Competitions Director and Taha Competitions Officer have participated in delivering the lectures in the presence of 16 clubs with the exception of Al Ain and Al Dhafra clubs.
A special workshop for the officials of marketing in the clubs was organized in the second day July 30, in which the speakers gave an introduction to PLC new regulations 2012/13- PLC and its guidance to the clubs, in order to maximize the coordination in the management of the competitions at all its marketing and commercial aspects, in addition to understanding of Collective Marketing and Commercial Growth, in order to optimize all joint commercial assets, that could take the UAE Professional Football to the next level and at the same time standardize the PLC experience to fans, in order to strengthen the consistency of the league and increase its technical standard. Michelle Chai Technical and Competitions Director and Eric Gottshalk from Media Pro Company, the marketing Advisor of the Professional League Committee delivered the lectures which were attended by representatives from all clubs except Al Wasl, Al Jazira, Al Shaab and Emirates clubs.
The workshop of the third and last day, which was held on Tuesday 31st July was allocated to the Club Media Officers during which the media regulations were presented along with the most important media requirements which must be available before the start of the next season. A presentation on the functions of the club’s media officer was shown along with the passive aspects that the club must avoid in the new season. The lectures in this regard were given by Michelle Chai Technical and Competitions Director and were missed by representatives from, Ajman, Al Ahli, Al Ain, Al Dhafra, Al Jazira and Sharjah clubs.
These workshops come within a plan adopted by the Pro League Committee Executive Office and a close follow up by the President and members, in order to avoid all the passive points that have come to the surface in each season and try to avoid them in the following season and at the same time endeavor to preserve the positives.
In a statement, H.E. Abdulla N. Al Junaibi, member of the Executive Office and Chairman of the Technical Committee assured the importance of organizing such workshops which aim at improving the work in the clubs and help them to achieve the desired objective of increasing understanding of all professionalism aspects which enters its fifth year in the new season in order to develop all technical organizational, marketing and media areas.
On the other hand Dr. Khalid M. Abdulla Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Pro League Committee (PLC) pointed out that the Committee will work to organize a series of workshops during the season looking for more success in the light of the road map drawn by the Committee Executive Office.
