PLC meets with Police, Security and Abu Dhabi Sports Channel ahead of Arabian Gulf Super Cup

The Pro League Committee held a coordination meeting with representatives of Abu Dhabi Police and the private security company assigned to the Arabian Gulf Super Cup match ahead of Friday's game between Al Ain and Al Ahli at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

The meeting, held at the venue Al Jazira Club, was attended by Suhail Al Areefi, PLC Chief Administration Officer, Michelle Chai, PLC Technical and Competitions Director, plus representatives of Al Ain, Al Ahli and Al Jazira clubs as all concerned parties coordinate to ensure the smooth running of the match. Amongst many points discussed at the meeting, it was decided that fan clubs of Al Ain and Al Ahli will be permitted to decorate their allocated areas of the stadium after the conclusion of the official training sessions on Thursday night, and the plan of action for the private security firm assisting on match day was also decided, with the aim of ensuring safety and security for all attendees. Further details, such as the parking procedures for team buses, VIPs, media and fans at the stadium were also confirmed.

A second meeting with Abu Dhabi Sports Channel - the exclusive broadcaster of the Arabian Gulf Super Cup - resulted in decisions being made regarding a wide number of issues including the live broadcasting of the pre-match press conferences, the number of cameras to be used for the transmission of the game, and the filming plans for pre-match build-up. The meeting, attended by Khalil Al Saffar, Head of Operations and Production at Abu Dhabi Sports Channel, emphasised the broadcaster's commitment to providing the highest standard of television coverage of Friday's Arabian Gulf Super Cup match. 

Fans wishing to attend the Arabian Gulf Super Cup match can purchase tickets from Al Ain, Al Ahli and Al Jazira clubs from today until Thursday, or alternatively on the gate at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium on Friday. With the 2012/2013 League champions going head to head with last season’s President’s Cup winners, it is sure to be a game of intense drama and excitement, and fans are encouraged to arrive early before Friday’s 7:25pm kick-off to ensure they don’t miss out on the atmosphere
