PLC Executive Office establishes the Rights Licensing Committee

 

H.E. Mohammed Thani Murshed Al Romaithi, Chairman of the Pro League Committee (PLC), Chairman of the Executive Office, has issued a decision to establish the Rights Licensing Committee, with the mandate to tender all the Audio-Visual and Broadcasting rights for the Pro League Committee’s competitions including the Etisalat Pro League, Etisalat Cup, Etisalat Super Cup and Etisalat Reserve League.

The Rights Licensing Committee is composed of (5) members, namely: H.E. Hamad Nekhirat Al Ameri, Committee’s Chairman, H.E. Mohamed Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Deputy Chairman, H.E. Khaled Al Mubasheri, H.E. Adnan Al Bahar and H.E. Salah Aljaeedi, Committee members.

The Committee will work to cover all technical, marketing, financial and administrative aspects of Rights Licensing through its members, who are specialized in these fields. The Committee will also endeavor to create the optimum environment for inspiring success and achieving the objectives set by the Committee, for the benefit of all parties involved.

In establishing the Committee, great care has been taken to accurately document its purpose, and extensive research has been carried out in order to ensure that the Rights Licensing processes are in line with the best practices of other leagues in the Gulf region. The structure of the Committee has been designed to allow the PLC to operate on the same level as European leagues, and, having taken technical feedback from various relevant parties into consideration, the Rights Licensing Committee shall strive to reap beneficial rewards for all stakeholders involved for the forthcoming seasons.
