Omar Abdul Rahman and Malalla undergo medical operations

Omar Abdul Rahman, midfielder of Al Ain Senior Football Team (19 years), underwent on Monday July 25th a medical surgery after suffering an injury on his anterior cruciate ligament of the right knee. The surgery was conducted by German physician Hans Bassila, a specialist in knee surgery in Atos Medical hospital in Heidelberg. Omar is expected to be away at least for six months and may return to join his team in the second round of the upcoming season.

On the other hand Al Ain's back midfielder Abdullah Mal Allah also underwent this afternoon a medical surgery on his ankle at the same Medical Center by Dr. Bassila. The two operations were completed successfully. It will take Mal Allah not less than two months, including the stage of treatment and medical rehabilitation, before coming back to field.

Omar Abdul Rahman got a knee injury during a training session of the UAE National Team during their recent warm up camp organized in Austria as part of their preparations for the two matches against the Indian National Team in the Asian qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. The reports of the elementary medical tests in Munich, Germany, confirmed that Omar was only suffering muscle pains, and needs only medical treatment for two or three weeks to return back to field. But when the medical analysis was done again by another doctor in Italy, it confirmed that the player is suffering an anterior cruciate ligament and needs to undergo an urgent operation

It is reported that Omar Abdul Rahman had underwent a similar operation in 2009 which was conducted by Professor Bernard in the French capital Paris. Omar suffered his first injury also during the National Youth Team's preparations at a warm up camp held in Europe before participating in the Youth World Cup, organized by Egypt in 2009.

Omar Abdul Rahman and his teammate Abdullah Mal Allah are expected to come back home after a couple of days to go into their medical treatment program prescribed by the doctor and will be implemented by the club's medical staff.

Abdullah Mal Allah was previously subjected to a severe injury which deprived him from playing with Al Ain team throughout the last season. He participated only for a few hours in the reserve league matches.

It is worth mentioning that three players from the clubs of the capital Abu Dhabi , Ismail Matar striker of Al  Wahda Club, Subait  Khatir of Al Jazira team and his colleague Yasser Matar, have recently underwent medical operations in Germany which will keep them away for a couple of months.
