Al Ain sign a four-season contract with Ekoko
Al Ain Club Board of Directors has reached a compromise with French striker Jires Kembo Ekoko “24 years” from Rennes Club. The two sides signed a four-year deal that helped Al Ain to fill one of their remaining foreign spots. The new expatriate player will join the team’s Romanian midfielder Meril Radoi and his Ghanaian former teammate in the French club striker Asamoah Gyan.
Ekoko has joined on Friday night, Al Ain’s pre-season camp organized currently in Madrid city and he started his training sessions after he underwent a successful medical examination in Madrid Simitro medical center. It is worth mentioning that Ekoko began his career at the age of eight at the French A.S Bondi Academy from 1997 to 2001, then moved to N. F Clairefontaine Academy, from 2001 to 2004, before being discovered by Rennes as a talent player in 2004 to move to their academy, where he showed high potential technical abilities that led him to become one of the famous stars. He then signed a contract with Rennes from 2006 to 2010, before renewing it for another three seasons.
