Pro League Committee holds 3-day Match Officials Workshop
The Pro League Committee will hold a 3-day workshop for Match Officials from Thursday 22nd-Saturday 24th August 2013, in preparation for the upcoming 2013/14 Arabian Gulf League season. The workshop, which will educate and assess the readiness of match officials from the organising body and all fourteen professional clubs, will be held at the InterContinental Hotel in Dubai Festival City.
The first day of the workshop will kick off at 5pm on Thursday, with sessions covering the topics of quality control, safety and security, and general organisational aspects. Sessions will be led by members of the PLC alongside Dubai Police and Mr. Keith Dalton representative from UEFA. Day two will cover Marketing and Branding guidelines, as well as a comprehensive update on all new and improved Regulations relating to the competitions and stadia. The final day of the workshop will cover Media regulations, roles and responsibilities, including a talk from Abu Dhabi Sports Channel, plus further case studies from UEFA. The workshop will conclude with an exam to evaluate the understanding of all match officials who will participate in the organisation of PLC’s matches for the 2013/14 season.
