Brazilian Lima tops the list of foreign players in league participation
The Etisalat Pro League statistical data for the season 2011-2012 revealed that the Al Nasr Brazilian midfielder Leonardo Lima tops the list of foreign players in terms of participation time during the entire season. He played 1976 minutes in all games with a percentage of 99.7% except only four minutes after being replaced by the team’s Italian coach Walter Zenga in the 86th of the round 15 match against Dubai at Al-Maktoum Stadium, which ended with a sole goal in favor of Dubai scored by Hassan Mohammed in the 82nd minute. On the other hand, the International Lebanese player midfielder of Ajman Hassan Maatooq, played 1815 minutes that put him in seventh place, (91.6%).He demonstrated a great season during his career with Ajman, and was able to score 6 goals, and missed the round 16 encounter.
Brazilian Ricardo Oliveira, striker of Al Jazira came in eighth spot with 1729 minutes and a rate of 87.3%. Oliveira missed two games in rounds 8 and 21, and was able to score 15 goals in 20 games which he had played in the league.
The Guinean Abu Bakr Camara striker of Dubai Club finished the competition in ninth place after he had participated in 1729 minutes, the same that of Al Jazira player Oliveira, after missing two games in rounds 11 and 17, and netted 4 goals.
Finally came the Australian Lucas Neill, defender of Al Jazira in tenth place with 1710 minutes, and 86.3% percentage, as he was absent in rounds 18, 19 and 22, and scored for his team 3 goals in the league championship, although he plays in the center of defense.
