Al Jazira moved one step forward to take fifth spot with 17 points while Kalba are at the bottom of the ladder with three points.

Kalba tried to surprise the visiting teams with an early goal but they failed to make it despite of the male performance shown by Al Jazira. Their Moroccan striker Nabil Al Daoudi missed a lovely chance when he took the ball from the midfield area and stepped forward with only the goalkeeper to beat, but le lost the chance in the 22nd minute to end the first half with a 1-0 lead for Al Jazira.

Kalba recovered less than two minutes after the interval to level the score through Nabil Al Daoudi who capitalized on a severe blunder committed by Al Jazira’s goalkeeper Ali Khaseif. The two teams started afterwards looking for the winner and both intensified their efforts to take the lead but they squandered a number of chances. Al Jazira’s players resorted to shooting from long – range shots and their midfielder Subait Khatir was almost to make it but his strong volley was deflected by the keeper to a corner. Amer Deeb of Kalba replied with a similar shot that just went near the upright. Most of the hosts’ players retreated to their back line depending on counter attacks. But Al Jazira added their second goal of the ball launched by Delgado and rebounded off the goalkeeper Mohammed Osman for Ali Mabkhoot to drive it home in the 64th minute. The cross bar denied Subait Khatir when he sent a rocket- like shot two minutes later.

Kalba continued their attempts in the last ten minutes with Jawhar Musabah missing a brilliant chance in the 84th minute when he was only a few steps away. Ali Mabkhoot benefited off Kalba’s defender Abdullah Faraj’s error to face the goalie scoring the third goal two  minutes from the final whistle to put the game beyond the reach securing full points for Al Jazira.
