Al Jazira v Dibba Al Fujairah Pre-Match Press Conferences
Al Jazira host bottom-of-the-league Dibba Al Fujairah on Thursday, and new coach Luis Milla is under no illusions that it will be a tough game. The Spaniard will take charge of his third match at the helm of Al Jazira, off the back of two very difficult defeats away at Tractorsazi Tabriz in the AFC Champions League, and at Etisalat Pro League leaders Al Ain. “I am happy with my work with the players over the past ten days, but I am sad about the outcomes from the Tabriz and Al Ain games,” Milla explained in his pre-match press conference. “We will try in the next game against Dibba Al Fujairah to take maximum points by making the most of our home advantage, although Dibba are a strong team despite their League position and they managed to win against Al Ain in Round 17.”
Dibba Al Fujairah’s coach Dr. Abdullah Misfer bemoaned the absences his side will suffer for their visit to Al Jazira. “We will be missing three of our foreign players,” he explained. “Samuel Ocran was sent off in the previous match, Luis Fernando will serve suspension for his third yellow card of the season, and Alex Medeiros is injured. We are also missing three or four of our key UAE players,” the Emirati coach added. “The short period between the previous game and this one has not allowed us much time to prepare well, however it is no secret to anyone that Al Jazira is a very stong team and we will have to be on our A game in order to get a good result.”
