Czech coach Ivan Hasek has high ambitions for Al Ahli

Czech coach Ivan Hasek expressed his deep happiness to return back to work as coach of Al Ahli in the new season after a two-year presidency of the Czech Football Federation.

Speaking in a press conference on Saturday, Hasek said he did not hesitate to accept the offer to train Al Ahli's Senior Football Team, who he had previously led to a League title in the 2008-2009 season.

"There is no doubt I am happy to return to the training of Al-Ahli once again, after two years I spent away from the stadiums in the presidency of the Czech Football Federation," he said. "Al Ahli is one of the biggest clubs in the UAE Pro-League and we will work together and endeavor to make the large crowd that supports the team to feel happy."

He continued, "I had watched most of the games of Al Ahli on television during the period when I was away. I have a strong and close relationship with Al Ahli Club and I love to be here in Dubai and in Al Ahli in particular."

Hasek stressed the importance of pooling the efforts of everyone at the Club in the coming weeks to make the team's preparation period a success and to reach a level that helps Al Ahli achieve its ambitions in the new season.

"I have a good knowledge of the team and its players and I am sure the administration will not fail to support the team and sign contracts with brilliant foreign players. There has been continuous coordination between me and Abdullah Al Nabouda the Chairman of the Club's Board of Directors in this regard," said Hasek

"I am optimistic about the work in the next phase, and wish to return the masses to stand behind the team and support the players in the new season."
