PLC announces Etisalat Cup Semifinal Details

 

The Professional League Committee (PLC) has determined Sunday, March 11 as the date for the two semifinal matches of the Etisalat Cup 2011-2012 with Al Jazira hosting Al Shabab at Mohammad Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi at 5:45pm and Al Ahli playing at home against Al Wasl at Rashid Stadium in Dubai, at 8:30pm.The two encounters will be played on a knock out basis with the winners going through to the final of the Etisalat Cup 2011-2012, due to kick off on Saturday, May 26.

 

Champions and runner-up of both groups qualified for the semi-final. Al Jazira finished the top  of their group with 22 points followed by Al Wasl as runner up with 18 points, while Al Ahli were the champion of Group B with 20 points and Al Shabab, who have collected the same number of points, came in the second position due to a poorer head-to-head record.
