Fewer goals scored in round three

 

The third round of the Etisalat Pro-League, was the least in terms of scored goals compared to the first two rounds as all 12 teams scored only 15 goals in six games, with an average of 2.5 per match which is considered a weak average. The teams netted 17 goals in each of the first and second rounds with an average of 2.8 per match. Al Jazira's Brazilian striker Ricardo Olivera is currently staying on top of the table with five goals followed by Uruguayan Juan Olivera of Al Wasl with four goals, and then comes Bare of Al Jazira, Ibrahima Toure (Ajman) and Brazilian Edinho (Sharjah) in the third place with three goals each.  

 3 red and 24 yellow cards

Despite of the fact that the second round of the Etisalat Pro-League was free of any cases of sent off and four red cards were shown in the first round, but the referees have shown the yellow card 3 times in the third round. Two red cards were given to Hassan Ibrahim and Waleed Abbas in Al Shabab-Al Ahli match and one was shown to Shaheen Abdul Rahman in Emirates-Sharjah game in addition to 24 yellow cards which was less than that of the second round which saw 31 cards. Al Ain-Dubai encounter was the highest in terms of the yellow cards as the referee showed the yellow card 7 times, six of them to Al Ain players against one to Dubai.
