Al  Wasl assured their qualification to the 27 GCC Clubs Championship quarterfinals with full mark following their 4-3 victory over Al Nahda of Oman in their Group “D” match played tonight on the winners’ pitch. The hosts are currently on top of the table with 12 points while the Omani side have one point that put them out of contention.

The losers were the first to find the back of the net through Badr Darweesh who scored only six minutes into play and the Iranian player Mohammed Reza Khalatbari leveled the score in the 27^thminute.

The home team added three more goals after the breather via Yasir Salem, Juan Olivera and Mariano Donda off a penalty kick in the 48^th, 53rd and 75^th minutes respectively while Welfred scored twice for the visitors in the 55^th and 90^th minutes to end the game with a 4-3 win for Al Wasl.
