Gallo: “Winning against Al Wasl motivates the players' moral”

Al Ain's Brazilian coach, Alexander Galo, said that wining in the semifinal match of the Etisalat Cup Competition against Al Wasl will boost the players' moral before their departure to Japan on Saturday to meet Nagoya Grampus in the second round game of the 2011 AFC Champions League. He also stressed the readiness of his team in every aspect, including technical, physical and mental.

Galo confirmed that some players will miss the Etisalat Cup match including Romanian Valentine, Saif Muhammad and Musallem Fayez due to injury, as well as midfielder Omar Abdul Rahman, who is currently in camp with the UAE Olympic team in Abu Dhabi. But he has assured fans that Al Ain's squad includes a number of strong substitutes who are capable to well replace their absent colleagues.

Galo said that he will determine the final lineup after the last training session. He described his competitors as a strong team who deserve to be respected after the brilliant performances they have demonstrated so far and the good results they have achieved during this season.

"Al Wasl have a strong offensive line led by Brazilian player Oliveira, and Spanish midfielder Yeste," stated Galo. "Our rivals also boast a number of skillful local players, but they will miss the efforts of their dynamic midfielder Rashid Essa who is on UAE National Olympic team duties in Abu Dhabi".
