Surprises for the fans in The Etisalat Cup final
Both Dubai-based football teams Al Shabab and Al Ahli will battle it out on Monday May 21st at Al Maktoum Stadium to determine the champions of the Etisalat Cup season 2011-2012. The Professional League Committee (PLC) held a number of coordinating meetings with stakeholders, to reach a common and professional formula for the final match.
A number of surprises are awaiting the fans prior to the match at the fans zone where there are several stands for both competing teams, Professional League Committee, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, the committee's Official Partner. "Ferrari World" is also involved in these events. The audience will participate in many cultural competitions organized by the Committee through the competition "question and answer" and will also meet with the TV programs' presenter Saeed Al Mammary.
Dr. Khalid Mohammed Abdullah Pro League Committee (PLC) Acting Chief Executive Officer assured that organizing events associated to the Etisalat Cup final match is based on the continuous efforts to turn the game into an entertainment day for the masses of the two clubs Al Shabab and Al Ahli and all football lovers, and a follow-up for the directives of the Professional League Committee Board of Directors for providing all needs and necessaries to create a family atmosphere before and during the upcoming final match.
Dr. Abdullah said: "the events will begin from 5:45pm; two hours before kick-off, and continue up to halftime where a draw on valuable prizes will take place during the half time break".
The Committee Acting Executive Director said: "The Committee will provide families section at Al-Maktoum Stadium, in addition to stands for selling foods and beverages located at the corners of the stadium which has a capacity for more than 10 thousand spectators".
Dr Abdullah stressed the importance of the media role in promoting for this big event, noting that media cooperation will give more importance to the Etisalat Cup final match.
On the other hand, the Professional League Committee will provide in the Etisalat Cup final match an outstanding service to the masses present on the stands or those following the game via Abu Dhabi and Dubai Sport channels, after it has been signed a contract with a well-known European company in the field of TV graphic, where distinctive information will be provided along with technical details, tracking and statistics during the game, in both Arabic and English languages.
