Dubai harden on Al Jazira in the Etisalat Reserve League last round match

 

Dubai maintained a 6-1 victory over visiting team Al Jazira within the last round match of the Etisalat Reserve League played on their pitch in Al Aweer, Dubai. Mohammed Ibrahim scored five goals for the hosts in the 22nd, 31st, 42nd, 65th and 90th minutes and Kayed Abdullah netted one goal in the 48th minute while Hamad Al Hosani scored the consolation goal for the losers in the 47th minute. But in spite of this win, Dubai finished the competition taking the last position with only 12 points whereas Al Jazira are 5th with a balance of 32 points.

In another game, Al Wahda humiliated Emirates with 5-0 win at their home ground Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Salim Al Shamsi scored two goals in the 8th and 42nd minutes and each of Ghanim Al Hageri, Badr Al Harethi and Nawaf Al Marzoogi added one goal in the 10th, 51st and 73rd minutes respectively. Al Wahda raised their tally to 33 points staying in 4th place against 20 points for Emirates that put them second from the bottom. Ajman also beat Champions Al Ain 2-1 at home via Mubarak Salim and Mohammed Zahran in the 23rd and 35th minutes respectively while Mohammed Salim netted Al Ain lone goal five minutes to time. Al Ain were earlier crowned champions with 53 points.

In Dubai derby, Al Shabab beat their counterparts Al Nasr with a solitary goal netted by the substitute Khalid Yousuf in the 69th minute to raise their balance to 29 points to sit in 8th spot while Al Nasr are 7th  with 30 points.

Al Wasl defeated their city rivals Al Ahli 2-0 to take 6th position and Al Ahli are in 10th place with 21 points.

Bani Yas raised their tally to 43 points following their 6-4 win over Sharjah to remain runners up while the losers are in 9th spot with 24 points.
