Al Ain Etisalat Reserve League Champions suffer first loss from Al Jazira
Al Jazira reserve football team were able to avenge their five straight goals loss in the 8th week of the first stage to Al Ain who were officially crowned champions with 50 points. Sultan Bargash scored the all-important goal in the last minute of the round 19 game held at Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The winners raised their tally to 28 points taking 4th position in the Reserve League standings.
It is worth mentioning that Al Ain have added the fourth title to their record in this championship.
Bani Yas retained their second spot with 34 points, 16 points behind champions Al Ain, in spite of losing to Al Wahda 1/3 for the winners to raise their balance to 26 to stay in 6th place. Four red cards were shown in this game to four players namely Abdullah Essa for the second yellow card, Zayed Al Kathery and Abdullah Saleh from Al Wahda along with Sultan Ali from Bani Yas. Al Nasr also lost to Al Wasl 2/3 to retain their third position with 29 points while the winners are in 5th spot with 27 points.
In the other matches of round 19, Ajman beat Al Ahli 2-0, scored by Abdullah Hassan Ahmed and Abdullah Khamis. Sharjah and Dubai drew 4-4 and Al Shabab defeated Emirates 3-1.
Ajman are sitting in 7th place with 25 points followed by Sharjah in 8th position with 24 points, Al Shabab in 9th spot with 23 points, Al Ahli second from the bottom with 18 points and then Dubai are classified in the last place.
