Second loss for Al Ain Reserve Team; Bani Yas secure second position

Al Ain Reserve Football Team lost for the second time in this season when they were beaten by hosts Al Shabab with two straight goals. Al Shabab raised their tally to 26 points while the Etisalat reserve league champions, Al Ain, remain on top of the standings with 53 points. Sanad Ali and substitute Khalid Yousuf scored for the winners in the 58th and 73rd minutes respectively.

In another game Bani Yas came up with a 4-1 victory over their counterparts Al Ahli to secure second position with 37 points against 21 points for the losers that put them in 10th place. Saleh Al Minhali opened the score for the winners only 21 minutes into play and added his second goal in the 65th minute. His teammate Khalid Mubarak also netted two goals in the 42nd and 53rd minutes whereas Al Ahli scored their consolation goal through Yousuf Al Sayed two minutes to time.

In the other matches of this round played in the same night, Emirates and Al Nasr drew 1-1 in Ras Al Khaimah for the formers to raise their balance to 20 points to remain second from the bottom. Al Nasr (30 points) took the lead five minutes after the break through Ali Ahmed and Malik Ahmed leveled for the hosts in the 68th minute. Al Jazira (32 points) and Al Wahda (30 points) were tied to a goalless draw. Al Wasl and Dubai ended their match which was played at Zabeel Stadium with a 1-1 draw. Dubai are still at the bottom of the table with only 9 points while Al Wasl are 7th with 28 points. The hosts Dubai were the first to find the target in the 33rd minute via Ahmed Yousuf and Tariq Ahmed made it 1-1 three minutes before the end of the game.
