Al Jazira Reserve beat Al Nasr 5-1 to avenge for their senior team

Al Jazira Reserve Team avenged from their counterparts Al Nasr beating them 5-1 in the Etisalat Reserve League match held at Al Maktoum Stadium in Dubai. Al Nasr Senior Team beat Al Jazira in the Etisalat Pro League last Sunday by the same margin. The winners raised their balance to 31 points moving to third place while the losers remain in 4th spot with 29 points.

Al Jazira took the lead only three minutes into play through Ahmed Juma’a, Mohammed Bargash added the second in the 30th minute and Ahmed Juma’a was again on target to make it 3-0 seven minutes before the break. The visiting squad continued their superiority in the second session to add two more goals via Mohammed Bargash and Ahmed Juma’a (a hat trick) in the 58th and 84th minutes. Al Nasr’s substitute Bilal Ibrahim scored their consolation goal in the last minute of the game.

Al Ain, the Champions, came from behind when they were one goal down to overcome Emirates 2-1 at Qattara Stadium. The visitors opened the score 10 minutes from the word go through Al Husain Saleh, but Ahmed Al Shamsi leveled the result in the 20th minute and Sultan Nasir netted the winner eight minutes later. Al Ain raised their tally to 53 points against 19 points for Emirates.

In the other matches played in the same day, Ajman (28 points) snatched full points with a 3-2 win over Al Shabab who have collected 23 points. Abdullah Al Aljamhi scored one goal and Mubarak Salim netted two for Ajman. Bani Yas beat Dubai 3-1 on the latters ‘pitch in Al Aweer. The hosts ended the first half with a lone goal win, but Bani Yas scored three goals after the breather via Adnan Husain, Nawaf Mubarak and Amir Abdulrahman to raise the balance to 37 points taking second position while Dubai are remaining at the bottom of the table with only 8 points.

Sultan Al Khabeel took his side Al Wahda to the 29th point after scoring the all-important goal against Al Wasl (27 points) in the game held at Al Nahyan Stadium. Al Ahli emerged winners in the last encounter of the day played at their home ground following a win over Sharjah with two straight goals both scored by Juma’a Sanghoor in the 42nd and 79th minutes.Al Ahli are in 10th position with 21 points while Sharjah are in 8th place with 24 points.
