Etisalat Reserve League Round 21 – Day One Review
Etisalat Reserve League leaders Al Ain thrashed Kalba’s second string 6-1 at the Tahnoun bin Mohamed Stadium on Monday to increase their points tally to 43 after 21 games. A brace from Salem Abdulla and goals from Ryan Yslam, Musallem Fayez, Faraj Juma and Ahmed Barman rounded up the victory for Al Ain, with Abdullah Jamahi providing Kalba’s only reply to leave them on 16 points in 13th place, although their position may change by the conclusion of the round.
Al Wasl’s Reserves did better than their First Team counterparts, easing past Dibba Al Fujairah 4-0 in Fujairah. The win gives Al Wasl 20 points in 11th place, whilst Dibba remain 6th for now, with a points total of 29.
Al Nasr repeated the success of their senior side, defeating Al Wahda 2-1 at the Al Maktoum Stadium. The win means Al Nasr jump several places from 9th to 5th with 30 points, whilst Al Wahda remain in second place on 40 points. Al Nasr’s position could change depending on the results of today’s fixtures between Al Jazira and Al Shabab, Al Dhafra and Dubai, Al Ahli and Bani Yas, and Al Shaab and Ajman.
