Etisalat Reserve League Round 21 – Day Two Review
Al Shabab moved up into 2nd place in the Etisalat Reserve League with a 1-0 win away at Al Jazira in Abu Dhabi, meaning the Dubai-based club now sit on 41 points – just two behind leaders Al Ain on 43. The result leaves Al Jazira 7th with 29 points.
Al Dhafra put four past Dubai at the Hamdan bin Zayed Stadium, winning 4-1 to increase their points total to 38 in 4th place, whilst Dubai remain rooted to the bottom with 15 points after 21 games played.
Ajman continued their good form in the Reserve League, defeating Al Shaab 1-0 at the Rashid bin Saeed Stadium. The hosts increased their points to 31 in 5th position in the table, meanwhile Al Shaab are third from bottom with 16 points.
Concluding Round 21’s Reserve action, Bani Yas’ second string fared better than their First Team against Al Ahli, defeating the Dubai-based club by 3 goals to 1 at the Rashid Stadium. Bani Yas moved up to 9th with 28 points, and Al Ahli have the same tally in 10th position at the close of the round.
