Reserve League: Round 19 Day Two Review
Al Wahda kept pace with leaders Al Ain at the summit of the Etisalat Reserve League, recording a 2-1 win over Bani Yas to remain in 2nd place on the same points tally as the top side. Bani Yas meanwhile remain 10th with 21 points after the defeat. Khaled Al Mansouri had opened the scoring for the away side before Al Wahda hit back through Amer Mubarak and Salem Saleh to secure all three points.
Al Ahli’s Reserve side beat Dubai 2-0 at the Rashid Stadium on Saturday, putting them 6th with 25 points, whilst Dubai slip to last place in the League with 13 points.
Kalba’s second string defeated their Ajman counterparts 2-0, lifting their points tally to 13 and moving them off the bottom of the table into 13th place with 13 points, jumping ahead of Dubai based on their head-to-head result from earlier in the season, though they both hold the same number of points.
To conclude Round 19 of the Etisalat Reserve League, Al Nasr and Al Shaab played out a goalless draw at the Al Maktoum Stadium. The result moves Al Nasr’s points total to 24 in 8th place, whilst Al Shaab have 17 points in 11th place.
