Reserve League: Round 19 Day One Review

Al Ain currently sit atop the Etisalat Reserve League following a 4-1 win over their Al Wasl counterparts on Friday. Al Ain’s goals were scored by Mohammed Salem, Younes Ahmed Mousa and Fawzi Fayez, who netted a brace. Mohammed Ahmed scored Al Wasl’s solitary goal but the defeat leaves them 12th in the table on 14 points.

Al Jazira’s second string were held to a 1-1 draw away at Dibba Al Fujairah, giving the Abu Dhabi side 29 points in 5th place, whilst Dibba sit 7th on 23 points.

Friday’s third and final Reserve League game took place at the Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan Stadium, as Al Dhafra hosted Al Shabab and played out a 0-0 draw. The point apiece puts Al Shabab on a total of 34 in 3rd place, and Al Dhafra are one place below them in 4th on 32 points.
