Al Wahda and Dubai share points with a 1-1 draw

Based-Abu Dhabi Al Wahda Football Team and Dubai shared points with a 1-1 draw in their Etisalat Pro League fifth round match played this evening at Al Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The home team raised their tally to 8 points to take 6th place while Dubai are sitting at the bottom of the table with two points.

Despite of Al Wahda superiority in the opening minutes, but Dubai were able to take the lead only 12 minutes into play via Jasim Abdullah off a dead ball sent by Cimon Fondono and rebounded from goalkeeper Motaz Abdullah. Bayano made it 1-1 in the 30th minute when he netted the equalizer off Essa Santo's cross ball to end the first half with a 1-1 draw.

In the beginning of the second session Al Wahda missed a number of scoring chances through Al Katheri, Bayano and Basheir Saeed. Ismail Ahmed of Dubai Team was given marching order for the second yellow card in the 64th minute for his side to finish the match with 10 players. Both teams lost some scoring opportunities in the last minutes of the game and Al Wahda defender Basheir Saeed was shown the red card after the final whistle following his second yellow card.
