HH Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan crowns Champions Al Ain

Following their last-gasp 2-1 win over Al Nasr in the final game of the season, Al Ain were officially crowned Champions of the Etisalat Pro League 2012-2013 in front of their home fans at the Tahnoun bin Mohamed Stadium. Al Ain’s playing squad, head coach and backroom staff members were handed the Etisalat Pro League trophy having wrapped up the title back in April. The crowning ceremony also celebrated Al Ain’s second string, who mirrored the success of the First Team by taking the Etisalat Reserve League title. The trophy- and medal-presenting ceremony was led by HH Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and attended by HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohamed bin Khaled Al Nahyan, Chairman of Al Ain FC Board of Directors, H.E. Yousuf Yaqoob Al Serkal, Chairman of the UAE Football Association, H.E. Mohammed Thani Murshed Al Romaithi, Chairman of the Pro League Committee and Vice President of the UAE Football Association, H.E. Obaid Al Shamsi, Vice President of the UAE Football Association and Younis Al Nimr, Chief Human Resources Officer. Al Ain are the first club in Etisalat Pro League history to win two successive titles.
