New Year’s resolutions in Round 9 “part.2”

The last strive on the pitch in 2011 continues tomorrow Friday 30-12-2011, teams as we mentioned yesterday each has set their new year’s resolutions, they have ambition of how to start the new year, some are optimistic to welcome 2012 on the top of the league table and wish it will last that way till the end, some are trying to start the 2012 with a more competent position taking more chances in the competition, and some are fighting hard to escape the bottom of the table. Each has anticipations but that is the spirit of a new year… to always have hope.

Al Ain open the Friday clash at 4:55pm facing their counterparts Emirates in the match to take place at Tahnoun bin Mohammad Stadium “Al Qattarah”, Dubai host Bani Yas in Al Awir at 4:55pm, and 2011 ends with the Al Wahda against their rivals Al Wasl in the match to take place at Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi at 8:00pm.

Al Ain vs. Emirates
Playing against the bottom of the league table Emirates does not make it an easy match for Al Ain, Al Ain know well that Emirates have their good players and they are doing their best to rebalance again. Their main concern is how to maintain their lead at the top of the Pro League standings. Each match counts “home or away” and every step forward is more important than the previous, With 20 points on the league and four points ahead from the runner up Al Jazira, and expectations for Yasser Al Qahtani to be checked in for the match, the purples wish to end the season just the way 2011 will end for them. Emirates on the other hand know how tough it is to fight not only to escape 7 league-defeats with only 3 points on the standings but also to fight against top of the league team, missing Ahmed Al Shaji for a red card Emirates have to count on the good players they own to fight hard all through the 90 minutes.

Dubai vs. Bani Yas
With 5 league-defeats and 3 league-draws Dubai playing home in Al Awir seek some confidence to escape the bottom of the league table and add to the 3 points they have before the end of 2011. Bani Yas on the other hand are not in a much better position, coming third from the bottom of the table with 7 points on the standings, a defeat before Dubai keep them down in the danger zone, the 3 points are precious for both and they both equally need them.

Al Wahda vs. Al Wasl
A great match to end the year with at Al Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi, both teams have their own potentials and equally competent to play at a qualified level of performance. Coming 6th on the league table with 13 points Al Wahda with one step ahead from their rivals Al Wasl, “7th with 12 points” and who will be missing Motaz Abdullah for a red card he received in last week matches promise an exciting thrilling end of year clash that will keep all eyes on the pitch until the very last minute.
