The 7th league round launches on Thursday with 4 important games

 

The Etisalat Pro League seventh round will launch on Thursday 8th of November with four games. Ittihad Kalba, who are staying at the bottom of the table with no points, will play at their home ground in Sharjah against their counterparts Al Dhafra who have collected 9 points so far that put them in 9th position after drawing with Al Shabab in the previous round, kick off at 4:45pm. The hosts will miss the efforts or their professional player Amara Diane due to a three- game suspension. Dibba Al Fujairah who are sitting in the penultimate place will travel to Abu Dhabi to meet third – placed Al Wahda with a record of 13 points at Al Nahyan Stadium at 4:45pm. Al Wahda hope to snatch full points to top the standings, and if they make it, they have to wait and see the outcome of the remaining games. 

Dubai will take on Ajman at their Stadium at 8:00pm. They forced Al Ahli to a 1-1 draw in the last round to take 7th spot with 9 points while Ajman maintained a 6-1 win over Dibba Al Fujairah to raise their tally to five points that classified them in 11th position.

The matches of the first day will be concluded with an important encounter when Al Shabab host Al Ain at Al Maktoum bin Rashid Stadium, kick off at 8:00pm. The home teams are 12th with only five points and will try to stop loosing points, note that during the past five seasons they were an example in stability of technical level and in achieving advanced positions in the league table. They will miss their defender Essa Mohammed in this game due to a two – game suspension. The defending champions Al Ain, who came up with a 5-0 historic win over Al Wasl in round six, are currently in second place with 13 points and they have no other alternative than winning in this game if they are to top the standings in case that    Bani Yas hinder leaders Al Nasr in their match due to kick off the following day.

The remaining games of this round will be concluded the next day with three matches as Al Shaab will tackle it out against Al Ahli at Khalid bin Mohammed in Sharjah at 4:50pm. The hosts are playing their first encounter at home in this season due to maintenance and promotion works at their Stadium in the past period. Al Shaab are in 10th position with 6 points while Al Ahli are 5th with a record of 11 points.

In the second match of the day, fourth – placed Bani Yas, with 12 points, will host leaders Al Nasr with 14 points at Al Shamkha Stadium at 4: 55pm.

Zabeel Stadium will see the 7th round concluding game when Al Wasl play Al Jazira in one of the strongest matches in this round. Al Wasl have 9 points and are sitting in 8th place while the visitors are 6th with 10 points.
