Four matches in the Etisalat Pro League 7th round on Friday

The Etisalat Pro League 7th round will launch on Friday December 9 with four tough matches on Friday, December 9 when Al Wahda host their counterpart Sharjah at Al Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi at 4:50pm. The hosts have 9 points that classify them in the sixth position after two draws with Dubai and Al Ahli in the 5th and 6th rounds. They will be highly affected by the absence of their first choice star Ismail Mattar who was given marching orders in their last game against Al Ahli. Sharjah are taking the  9th spot with only four points and they have a postponed game at hand against Al Shabab scheduled for next week.

In the second encounter of the day, Dubai will play at their pitch in Al Aweer against Al Ahli at 4:45pm. They are sitting at the bottom of the table with only two points and they remain the only team who have not yet maintained a single win. But Al Ahli are staying in the 10th place with a balance of four points and they lost two points at their home ground when they were tied to a 2-2 draw in the previous game against Al Wahda.

Al Ain and Al Wasl are set to face each other on the same day at Al Qattara Stadium, kick off at 8.00pm. It is a tough struggle for winning the second position in the table as the two teams have 11 points each. The home squad will miss the efforts of their Saudi striker Yasir Al Gahtani who was injured in their Bani Yas last game only one minute into play and he will be absent for three weeks. 

Football legend Maradona will be under a new test after his team played a difficult match in the sixth round against Al Shabab at their home ground in Zabeel and they came out with a lone point that widened the difference between them and the leaders Al Jazira to five points, and they will try to avoid any loss to Al Ain so as not to increase the difference of points if it happens that Al Jazira beat Al Shabab in the same day. The visitors will play tomorrow without both players Darweesh Ahmed and Yasser Salim due to suspension. 

In the last game which is due to kick off at 8.00pm at Maktoum Bin Rashid Stadium, the fifth-placed Al Shabab with 9 points will host the defending champions Al Jazira who are sitting on top of the standings with 16 points. The game represents a great chance for the home team to snatch the three points and compensate for the four points they lost earlier after two draws to Bani Yas and Al Wasl.
