Al Nasr regain first position and Gyan tops the scorers
Al Nasr regained the forefront of the Etisalat Pro - League standings after a 2-1 hard- fought win over Al Shaab in the sixth round match to raise their balance to 14 points, one point ahead of Al Ain who are runners - up with 13 points following a historic 5-0 victory over Al Wasl who are sitting in 8th place with 9 points. The third spot is occupied by Al Wahda after they managed to overthrow Bani Yas with two straight goals and raise their tally to12 points, the same that of Bani Yas, but the former are staying one step ahead due to a win in the two teams’ head – to – head match. Dubai came from behind when they were one goal down in the first half to level the scores against Al Ahli at the latters’ home ground and in front of their fans to take seventh spot with 9 points, while Al Ahli are fifth with 11 points.
Al Jazira benefited of their big 4-0 victory over Dibba Al Fujairah in the match hosted by Khalifa bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain and jumped from ninth to sixth place with 10 points, while Al Dhafra came in ninth position after collecting 9 points following a 1-1 draw with Al Shabab at Hamdan Bin Zayed Stadium in the western region for the latters to take 12th place with five points..Al Shaab came in tenth position after losing 1-2 to Al Nasr while Ajman maintained their first win in the league this season beating Ittihad Kalba 6-1 who are still yet to open their account in the competition and are currently sitting at the bottom of the table.
